Racing Victoria (RV) is one of Australia’s leading sporting organisations, and the independent governing body of thoroughbred racing in Victoria. We develop, promote, and manage the conduct of the racing of thoroughbred horses in Victoria to safeguard its integrity. 

We are looking for a driven and commercially minded professional to join our team and help shape the future of Racing Victoria’s partnerships.

About the Opportunity

As the Partnership Sales Manager, in concert with the GM Commercial, you will play a key role in RVG’s partnership strategy, fostering high-value, mutually beneficial relationships and driving strong stakeholder and partner engagement, value and retention across all RVG assets and platforms.

This role not only drives broad commercial growth but also strengthens industry-specific partnerships by engaging race clubs, breeders, syndicators and other key stakeholders to deliver high-value outcomes. Working closely with the GM Commercial, you will identify new revenue opportunities, develop tailored partnership solutions and build strong, trusted relationships across clients, agencies and the wider racing industry. It’s an ideal role for someone creative, commercially driven and energised by cultivating meaningful partnerships in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

You will drive partnership growth by securing new commercial opportunities, strengthening and retaining existing relationships, and delivering tailored proposals and campaigns across RVG assets. You will support the development of RVG’s partnership and revenue strategy, contribute to new initiatives including media rights, hospitality and experiences, and work closely with clients, agencies and industry stakeholders to ensure seamless campaign delivery. You will also monitor market trends, develop sales materials and provide strategic insights to support revenue growth.

Additionally, you will maintain accurate sales forecasts, pipelines and CRM data, and collaborate with Finance, Legal and Procurement to execute campaigns and manage revenue processes. Your strong organisational skills will ensure timely reporting, effective administration and smooth delivery of all commercial activity.

About You

You are commercially savvy, confident in a client-facing environment and motivated by creating value through strong partnerships. You communicate clearly, think strategically and enjoy collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.

What You’ll Bring

  • 5+ years’ experience in media sales, partnerships or commercial roles

  • Proven track record of exceeding revenue targets

  • Strong networks within media, advertising or brand partnerships

  • Excellent communication, pitch and negotiation skills

  • Creative, strategic and analytical capability to design bespoke partnership solutions

  • Strong organisation and ability to manage multiple priorities

  • Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office
