About the Opportunity:

This is an exciting opportunity for someone to join us for a 12–15-month fixed term period, dependent on start date. Reporting directly to the Head of Broadcast Operations, the Production Coordinator will play a pivotal role in overseeing the day-to-day production operations of the Racing.com Media (RDCM) Broadcast Team. This role requires a highly organized individual with a strong understanding of television production environments and exceptional managerial skills.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

As the Production Manager, you will be tasked with the following responsibilities:

  • Leading and managing the day-to-day production needs of the Racing.com Media (RDCM) Broadcast Team.
  • Rostering both full-time staff members and external contractors, including managing the team of make-up artists.
  • Maintaining and overseeing fulfillment of reporting requirements, such as APRA.
  • Creating and maintaining studio and edit load sheets.
  • Liaising with the Legal Team for the preparation of talent agreements.
  • Assisting with coordination of broadcast logistics, including flight and accommodation bookings and car hire.
  • Overseeing rostering of talent, race callers, producers, editors, and studio and control room staff members.
  • Creation of daily production reports and documents.
  • Managing catering and office orders.
  • Production budget reporting and shift reconciliation.
  • Working effectively with other internal departments, including the Editorial Team, to facilitate efficient execution of production requirements.
  • Being accountable for the management of the make-up artists and ensuring production budget targets are met and reporting requirements are fulfilled.

About You:

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and attributes:

  • Strong understanding of a television production environment.
  • Highly organized approach to managing tasks and projects.
  • Familiarity with production management resources.
  • Extensive knowledge of production workflows.
  • Knowledge of budgeting and rostering software, with advanced knowledge of Excel highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of the sport and/or horse racing landscape (desirable).
  • Initiative with the ability to juggle multiple projects and tasks in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Technical aptitude and an ability to learn new systems and processes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational, attention to detail, and time management skills.
  • Well-developed planning, organizational, and communication skills.
